Males are "discriminated" against by $1,867 per year
The Occupational Outlook Handbook, US Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics, January 1998 shows median incomes by major, and Table dtab130.txt (SAT Scores by major), which together illustrate that annual salaries increase by $150 for each 1 point increase in SAT Math Scores. Table 34-1 in the NCES Digest shows the following starting salaries for males and females:
http://members.easyspace.com/fathers/ind22_sat.htm shows that males scored 40 points higher than females in 1995 on SAT Math, which means that they should have earned $6,000 more than females. The fact that the average annual starting salaries of males was only $4,133 higher than that for females is evidence of systemic discrimination against males.
